A system that helps significantly reduce errors by associating a part on a shelf with an individual lamp. The lamp is normally positioned on the shelf, below the bin or box of components.

The best use of the system is where several different components are used for different models i.e. different power cords for different countries.

Operation
When the operator scans the jobs barcode, a search is made for the product being built, then the build list is checked and any parts to be used at this station will have their associated lamp lit.
