| As each job is scanned in, then the assembly is registered
to the data station. As new parts are fitted to the assembly,
they are scanned to obtain their unique barcode, so that a
check can be made against the build list for the assembly.
When an incorrect part is detected, an alarm can be given
by way of a beep or a message to the operator’s terminal
or scanner or a general sounder or a flashing lamp etc.
The fault will also be logged to the record and can be used
to prevent the assembly progressing to the next stage of production. |
