Data Solutions has been working closely with Tetra Capital Controls to create the ultimate in tertiary filtration systems for wastewater treatment.

Tetra Capital Controls are industry leaders in water treatment and offer several patented processes to their clients. One of these processes is a state-of-the-art TETRA Deep Bed Filtration System which reduces solids in the final effluent from sewerage works prior to it being released into natural watercourses such as rivers. The process – fast becoming adopted as standard practice by water companies - can be easily adapted to deal with varying requirements.

Working closely with Data Solutions, Tetra Capital Controls has split the process into its fundamental control functions and produced configurable solutions using a building block approach for the civil engineering, the electrical control panel design and the PLC and HMI software. As new innovations in the product are developed, these are incorporated into the PLC software. This gives the client confidence as all the modules are tried and tested designs, with many years of on-site miles under their belts.

The software provided by Data Solutions is capable of handling up to 12 filters and any air blowers, feed, backwash and sump pumps required for the complete operation of the plant.

Software can be configured at relatively low cost, with commissioning time reduced by a staggering 60 percent!
